puppet booth for quick turnarounds and performance areas where space
and height are limited.
The Punch and Judy Show is suitable for outside

When we perform Punch and Judy they will always be seen and
heard and we use special low voltage amps to enable use where there is
no access to 240 volt electric supply.
If required the Puppet show can be accompanied by the traditional
Street barrel Organ, the Punch and
Judy Prof's Hurdy Gurdy.

Punch and Judy the Story
Many people have never seen a traditional Punch and Judy Show - the
flavour of each individual show depends on the puppeteer or Punch
Professor but a traditional Punch and Judy show will contain this
classic story which has survived the test of time.
Mr Punch after failing as a parent sparks off a series of events with a
host of characters as he defies attempts to punish him for his
misdeeds. He meets on his way a policeman, a crocodile, a doctor and an
appointment with the gallows and the devil himself. Using violence to
thwart the powers of good sense but always carying the audience with
him Punch the lovable rogue appeals to our inner rebel and always
manages to escape with his personality intact. Prof Moon and Sarah
Carrot are very able performers who adapt this plot to the spirit of
their audiences. An older audience interacts differently to a younger
age group. Vocabulary and interaction must be appropriate to the
spectators, while the aim is always to amuse and entertain not frighten
or patronise. The comedy and violence is slapstick enabling Mr Punch a
living tradition to enter the 21st Century with his head held high.
"In my opinion the Street Punch is one of those extravagant reliefs from the realities of life.....I regard it as quite harmless in its influence and as an outrageous joke which no one in existence would think of regarding as a model for any kind of conduct" Charles Dickens (The Letters of Charles Dickens Vol V, 1847 - 1849. Clarendon Press 1981. Letter dates Nov 6th.)
